This page explains how to notify us of potential copyright concerns in full compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512.
1. Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you are a copyright owner (or an authorized representative) and believe that material available through the Maiden Race website infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.
A valid DMCA notice must include all of the following (per §512(c)(3)):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including a URL or enough detail for us to locate it.
- Your contact information, including address, phone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Upon receiving a compliant DMCA notice, Maiden Race will respond expeditiously, which may include temporarily disabling or removing access to the identified material while we evaluate the claim.

3. Counter-Notification (If You Believe a Removal Was a Mistake)
If you believe your material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification — including situations where you believe the content was public domain, open-content, or legitimately licensed — you may submit a DMCA counter-notice under §512(g).
A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed due to error or misidentification.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your area.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within 10–14 business days.
4. Good-Faith Use of Public Domain & Open Content
Maiden Race frequently incorporates visual elements sourced from respected public-domain archives, museums, cultural institutions, and open-content programs. We maintain internal documentation supporting our good-faith belief that such materials are free for commercial use.
If you believe a publicly available or open-content work has been misidentified or misused, please contact us via the DMCA procedure above. We take such notices seriously and will review promptly.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA, Maiden Race may restrict or terminate access for individuals or entities who are determined to be repeat infringers.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update or revise this DMCA policy as our business evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
